About James Christensen MD

Dr. Christensen is a compassionate and insightful physician who has been board certified in the field of psychiatry since 2011. He finished his degree as a medical doctor through the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and he completed his specialty training in psychiatry through Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has extensive experience working with complex clinical cases in settings including state hospitals and federal medical facilities. He has also been active in the training and education of medical students, APRN students, and psychiatry residents through academic appointments including at the University of Minnesota Medical School. His emphasis is on a warm and cooperative approach to helping his patients make the best medical decisions to aid in their progress and recovery.
