About Marci Elliott, LMHC

With more than thirty years in the field of communications, Marci brings tremendous life experience to the field of counseling.
A former TV news anchor, reporter, producer, and writer for ABC and NBC network affiliates in New York and Ohio, Marci also worked on a national cable network as an on-camera health product specialist. A corporate spokesperson, on-camera / voiceover commercial actress, and small business owner, she is also a Certified Canine Massage Therapist. Her weekly TV animal education segments led to the New York State Veterinary Medical Society awarding her the prestigious Gold Medallion Award.

For more than ten years she was a State Certified Instructor for the Florida Safety Council, teaching Basic Driver Improvement, Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness and the Victim Awareness Program for DUI/DUI Manslaughter offenders.

She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in General Speech from Kent State University and her Master's in Counseling and Psychology from Troy State University. Certification as a Life Coach came from Grow Institute in San Diego.

Licensed by the State of Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor, Marci uses a Cognitive Behavioral Approach to therapy for adults ages 18 and up. She also facilitates intensive outpatient groups (IOP), chemical dependency groups, and previously handled hospital discharge treatment planning for local area psychiatric hospitals.
