About Shannon Chavis, LMHC

Shannon Chavis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida who has been practicing since 2006. He has a Bachelor’s Degree of Psychology from Florida A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Shannon has a strong clinical skill set that is familiar with diagnosing, assessment, and treatment planning. His experience in servicing a vast socioeconomic diverse client population has been conducive to the various therapeutic approaches that affect change. Additionally, Shannon’s ability to build client rapport, meet clients where they are at in navigating the therapeutic process has proven to be beneficial in assisting clients find the best version of their self. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys grilling, traveling, and staying in hotels that have rooms with a view. He is a passionate Christian that loves to learn new things and be exposed to new ideas. He loves family and enjoys get-togethers and fellowship with friends and loved ones. Additionally, he’s a sucker for live music, always up for a basketball or football game and absolutely down for a good movie or tv show to binge. When the day ends and the sun settles, there’s nothing better than a smooth glass of Pinot Grigio.
