I sincerely want my clients to do and feel better and will do what it takes to help them achieve a status of well-being. I address therapy with a very down-to-earth concept which enables me and my clients to have a more productive therapist/client rapport. I realize that each client is an individual and should be treated as such from intake to treatment planning to discharge and follow-up resources. I am experienced in treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, border line personality disorder, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. I specialize in substance abuse and childhood trauma. The treatment modality that I most often use is CBT which is a psycho-social intervention that challenges and helps to change a client's distorted thoughts and unhealthy behaviors by improving their emotional regulation, implementing and utilizing effective coping skills, and by helping the client to effectively learn to problem solve.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I obtained my undergraduates' degree from Ashford University with a major in Social work and a minor in Childhood Development. I completed my graduate’s degree at Ashford University with a major in psychology and later pursued additional credits towards a second master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Grand Canyon University.
