Yulonda Leverett is a dual certified Nurse Practitioner in both Adult Health and Psychiatric Mental Health. She has more than 28 years of nursing experience which includes critical care and perioperative services. She has over ten years of expertise working with the elderly within the long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation setting and is highly skilled in the treatment of various forms of dementia.
Yulonda received an Associate of Science in Nursing from Polk Community College (1995), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida (2000), a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida (2012), and a Post-Master's Certificate from Maryville University (2019).
She describes herself as an empathetic listener who believes in helping individuals achieve mental and physical health. Her compassionate approach aims to motivate and empower. She believes that medication is not the only form of treatment and is devoted to assisting her patients in modifying lifestyle behaviors that negatively impact their mental health.
